Limehurst Academy Celebrates Culture Day With Community, Curriculum and British Values in Focus
Limehurst Academy marked its annual Celebration of Culture Day on 12th February, showcasing the rich diversity of its school community through cultural dress, visiting speakers and local educational visits.

Students arrived in clothing reflecting their heritage, turning the school into a vibrant display of global traditions. The day also included cultural workshops and visits to nearby places of worship - activities that strengthened students’ understanding of different faiths and beliefs while deepening community links.
Mr Sandhu, Deputy Headteacher, described the day as “a great example of what makes Limehurst such a special place. Our students learn not only from experts and visitors, but from one another, understanding that though we come from different backgrounds, there is so much that unites us. Culture Day allows students to express who they are with pride while developing the respect, curiosity and understanding that sit at the heart of our school values.”
Students echoed this sentiment. Year 9 student, Amira, said, “I loved being able to express and share my background and culture with my friends. It made me feel proud and I learned so much about other people’s backgrounds too.”
