Limehurst Academy is a multicultural, mixed secondary school located in Loughborough in the English county of Leicestershire.
It was previously a community middle school called Limehurst High School which was administered by Leicestershire County Council. The school converted to academy status in September 2011 and was renamed Limehurst Academy. In September 2013 Limehurst Academy converted from being a middle school for pupils aged 11 to 14 to a secondary school for pupils up to the age of 16. In January 2021, the school joined the East Midlands Education Trust.
The school was most recently inspected by Ofsted in April 2022, who confirmed that the school remains a good school. The report begins with the line: “Pupils are unanimous in their praise of Limehurst Academy.” We know our school well but we are not complacent. We are constantly seeking to improve, and deliver outstanding education to the community we serve – a community that we are very proud to be a part of.
Our 2023 Key Stage 4 results were, again, very strong. As has been the case for many years now, all of our headline measures are well above national averages. We are committed to improving yet again this academic year, and we are determined to do so. Our parents and the local community are extremely supportive of the school.
